PPIU Becomes the First Private University to Sign an E-Learning Partnership with ITC
On the morning of October 31, 2017, at the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC), Mrs. Tep Kolap, Rector of Phnom Penh International University (PPIU), and H.E. Um Romny, Director General of the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC), signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to facilitate the exchange of E-Learning courses between the two higher education institutions. The signing ceremony was presided over by H.E. Yok Ngoy, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport.
Phnom Penh International University (PPIU) became the first private university in Cambodia to sign an agreement on E-Learning cooperation with the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC).
Under the terms of the MoA, ITC agreed to provide PPIU with 18 online courses and support the development of two skill-based courses per year. ITC would also connect PPIU to the Cambodia Education and Research Network (CamREN).
Meanwhile, PPIU would establish the necessary system connectivity between PPIU and ITC and organize a technical team to work closely with ITC's technical team.
Through this MoA, PPIU students would gain greater access to E-Learning technologies, making online education more accessible and convenient.
