Study tour to the Phnom Penh Court of Appeal
The Faculty of Law and Economics of Phnom Penh International University (PPIU) led 40 law students on a study tour of the Phnom Penh Court of Appeal to learn firsthand about the judicial system and court procedures. This activity is part of the quality improvement strategy that focuses on linking theory to practice.
During the visit, students gained extensive knowledge on:
Jurisdiction of the Court of Appeal: Understand the role and responsibilities of the Court of Appeal in the Cambodian judicial system.
Trial Procedure: Examine the trial process and the role of the Prosecutor General of the Court of Appeal.
Court Administration: Study the administrative organization and workflow of the judicial institution.
The delegation and students received a warm welcome from the leadership and officials of the Phnom Penh Court of Appeal. In particular, under the distinguished presidency of His Excellency Yun Narong, Deputy President of the Phnom Penh Court of Appeal, the students were welcomed and received valuable experience sharing related to the leadership and operation of the Court of Appeal. The law curriculum at PPIU is carefully designed, incorporating in-depth study of national and international laws to develop effective legal analysis skills. In addition to classroom lessons, the university regularly organizes "Moot Court" programs, as well as direct study visits to courts at all levels andlegal institutions.
This internship not only provides additional knowledge of procedural laws, but also trains students in the professional spirit to become outstanding lawyers in the future.
